I had an excellent experience with my physical therapist, Thomas. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. From the very beginning, he started with simple, easy-to-learn exercises and gradually progressed to more advanced strength training. Each step was well-structured and made me feel both a sense of achievement and real improvement. Thomas is very patient and communicates in a clear, friendly, and encouraging way, which made every session comfortable and effective. The clinic environment is also great. It is conveniently located on Colorado BLVD, with easy and free parking available. The front desk staff are wonderful—phone calls are always answered promptly, and they are consistently patient and helpful. Overall, everyone here is professional and kind. I highly recommend this clinic, especially Thomas.

Fantastic place for physical therapy! Tommy and Diandra are true experts at both designing personalized training regimens and at fostering a friendly, supportive atmosphere! Lorena was super welcoming at the front desk, scheduling and insurance was a breeze, and the location is really convenient. When I first showed up to seek help for chronic knee pain, Tommy thoroughly evaluated my condition and identified a series of exercises to help improve balance and strengthen key muscle areas. I quickly began seeing improvements and soon found myself looking forward to every session. By the time I graduated, I was once again able to enjoy all my favorite outdoor activities (mainly hiking and trail running) without knee pain! If I'm ever in need of PT again, I will certainly return to Spine and Sport!

This is was my first time needing to do Physical Therapy for a serious injury. I had a full rupture of my Achilles playing basketball. After surgery I dealt with complications regarding infection. Suffice to say it was an arduous and difficult process. I was just trying to find a therapist that I could work with before a long trip to Europe. What I found was even more transformative. Thomas, Diandra and Lorena were extremely helpful, reliable and knowledgeable about how to regain my gait, strength and athleticism. There attitude every session made you come back wanting to improve. This place is a must for anyone looking to come back better and stronger from an injury. 10/10 would recommend.

I had an outstanding experience with this Tommy (DPT) while recovering from a shoulder injury. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and explain the treatment plan in a way that was easy to understand. Each session was focused, encouraging, and tailored to my progress. Thanks to his expertise and attention to proper form, my shoulder strength, mobility, and pain levels improved significantly. I’m very grateful for their professionalism, patience, and genuine care, and I highly recommend them to anyone

Without a doubt, Thomas (Physical Therapist) is phenomenal at his job. I went in for a collarbone sprain that greatly hindered my arm movements. After 1.5 months of consist rehab, I could confidently return to jiu jitsu training! Each PT session Thomas adapted the exercises and rehab routine so that I was progressively stretching my capabilities but not overextending my injury. Very tricky to balance, but Thomas did an excellent job guiding me through it all. He was able to demonstrate what good form for exercises should look like so I could easily follow along. In addition, he addressed any worries I had about complications, such as whether the pain I was experience was normal or irregular. The facility itself is perfectly equipped with the nuanced exercises you may need to do (resistance bands, dumbbells, cable machines, etc). Lorena, front desk admin, also made the insurance and payment easy to understand. I joined direct access, without a doctor’s referral, and the limit of 12 sessions before needing a doc’s note were sufficient for my recovery. Just a disclaimer that as much as Thomas can guide and point you in the right direction, you need to do the at-home-exercises if you want to make meaningful progress in your recovery. 2 months since completing sessions, I still use some of the exercises to maintain strength and mobility. With that, I highly recommend this PT! Good luck on your recoveries all!

Commonly Asked Questions & What to Expect During Your PT Treatment

Do I need to see a doctor first?

Thanks to direct access, we can see any patient without a referral from a doctor for an initial evaluation. If our therapists believe that physical therapy is a good option for your needs, we can work with you and your physician to obtain a prescription for continued care. If your diagnosis requires additional expertise, we can also refer you to a specialist to handle your care.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

For your first visit, be sure to bring the following items:

  • Prescription for physical therapy from your referring physician (if applicable)
  • Government issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license)
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Patient forms, which can be downloaded from this site in PDF format. Print and fill out the forms completely and bring them during your first visit.
  • Patients who are minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first visit.

What should I wear to physical therapy?

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

What can I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, your therapist will perform a thorough examination, in which he or she will review your physician’s recommendations, examine the problem area, ask questions about your injury or pain, develop an effective treatment plan for rehabilitation, discuss their findings with you and answer any questions you may have. Your treatment plan may include hands-on, manual therapy, a customized exercise program, stretching and physical agents such as heat, ice, ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Your physical therapist may also recommend a home program to further assist in your treatment.

How long will my appointment take?

Your first appointment will typically last from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on your injury. Following appointments usually last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the treatment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your appointment for check-in and paperwork. You can also download our patient forms, which can be filled out beforehand and brought with to your appointment.

How often will I need to come?

The frequency of your treatment will depend on your physician’s prescription and the plan of care developed by your physical therapist. Most patients require treatment two to three times per week. The duration of treatment will depend on your injury and personal progress. Your physical therapist will discuss this with you following your initial exam and subsequently as you progress.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

If you are unable to attend an appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. However, we do understand than an occasional emergency or illness may arise, in which case you may have to cancel your appointment closer to your scheduled time.

Do you accept insurances? Will insurance cover my therapy?

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. Before your initial visit, we will verify in and out of network benefits with your insurance company. The cost of therapy is determined by the benefits of your insurance plan, including the deductible and co-pay, or patient percentage. We are happy to check with your insurance company to determine the terms of your coverage. Payment for patient responsibility is due at the time of service.
