Cortez Espinoz
PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Cortez Espinoza is a physical therapist who loves helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to the activities that matter most to them. As a board‑certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, he focuses on treating musculoskeletal conditions and guiding patients through recovery from injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain. Cortez believes in blending hands‑on care, functional exercise, and education so each patient feels supported, informed, and empowered throughout their rehab journey.
Cortez completed his orthopedic residency and spine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. Before becoming a PT, he studied Exercise Science at California Lutheran University, where he also played football and baseball, an experience that continues to shape his passion for movement and human performance.
In addition to his clinical work, Cortez teaches part‑time in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Azusa Pacific University and serves on the board committee for the California Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Special Interest Group. He enjoys giving back to the profession and staying connected with the next generation of clinicians.
Outside the clinic, Cortez enjoys spending quality time with his family and being active outdoors whether camping, mountain biking, or practicing archery. He also loves staying fit through trail running, basketball, and the occasional game of pickleball.
