Great Experience at Sports and Spine Clinic Temecula This is a great place for physical therapy treatment. The staff, from the front desk to the scheduling team Angie are very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the therapists Annabelle, Rick and Bryanna ,are all kind, professional, and genuinely care about your recovery. They take the time to guide you through stretches and exercises tailored to your specific pain or injury. They don’t rush you they focus on helping reduce your pain and rebuild your strength. You can tell they’re committed to helping you feel better and get back to your normal routine. I highly recommend Sports and Spine if you’re looking for a quality physical therapy clinic with compassionate and knowledgeable staff.

I'm so happy with Spine and Sport! I had an auto accident in February and started PT a couple weeks ago. I'm very happy with their therapy. They are very sensitive to modifying the stretches and movements so they are not hurting my areas that are still sore. I also feel what they have me doing is getting my core stronger. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

I was in a vehicle collision on February 4th, 2025. My vehicle was struck from the rear, by someone that fell asleep at the wheel. My vehicle was totaled. I came to Spine and Sports Physical Therapy to begin my treatment. I was greeted by Angelique. Angelique is very nice and quirky. Angelique calls to remind you of your appointments and sends text messages. If you forgot your appointment, it is tournament fault, because you definitely got advised. Angelique is great!!! I was first assigned to a male Indian therapist, he has since been transferred to another location. He was great. He actually put hands on and basically rubbed out the intense pain I had in my back. It was a temporary fix, but it was great to be free of the pain for a few hours. I then got assigned to the director Rick Salcedo. Rick is a Marine (once a Marine, always a Marine). You couldn’t tell he was a Marine, except for his wristband. Then I asked, because I am a military veteran also. We found common ground, although I was in the Air Force. Rick was great. Rick was very calm and soft spoken, the reason why I wouldn’t think he was a Marine. Rick was very knowledgeable and explained all of the exercises clearly. I would definitely recommend Rick. Then there was the “Punisher,” (in good fun). Anabelle Pacinos-Garcia, physical therapist. Anabelle was very kind and knowledgeable. Anabelle stepped up my exercises a bit. Anabelle used exercises that pushed my limits. One exercise I could not perform, because it hurt my back too much, but she understood. We skipped that exercise. I would definitely recommend Anabelle, she will test your limits and you will definitely know what hurts and what doesn’t. There was a new female who assisted me once. I told her about the “Punisher” and she said she was the “enforcer” (in good fun). I would definitely recommend Spine and Sport Physical Therapy in Temecula. The staff is professional and courteous. The facility is nice and clean. When the punisher makes you exercise, it does get a little warm inside. I would suggest turning the air up a little bit. Angelique, Rick and Anabelle are great. Go and get your body back in a functional state!!! My pain is still present, but now I have some exercises that help me get through the day!!!

Professional, organized and knowledgeable therapists. I personally worked with Dr. Scott Horn who took his time to educate and help me recover after an auto accident that caused a concussion. I highly recommend Temecula Spine and Sport!

After weeks of waiting to get scheduled I finally had my first appointment before work at 8 am. Upon arrival I was told that my doctor was not in and won't be in for 2 weeks. I even received a voicemail the day before to arrive 15 minutes early. Time wasted. I don't feel like I am being taken seriously by them. Unorganized it seems.

Commonly Asked Questions & What to Expect During Your PT Treatment

Do I need to see a doctor first?

Thanks to direct access, we can see any patient without a referral from a doctor for an initial evaluation. If our therapists believe that physical therapy is a good option for your needs, we can work with you and your physician to obtain a prescription for continued care. If your diagnosis requires additional expertise, we can also refer you to a specialist to handle your care.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

For your first visit, be sure to bring the following items:

  • Prescription for physical therapy from your referring physician (if applicable)
  • Government issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license)
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Patient forms, which can be downloaded from this site in PDF format. Print and fill out the forms completely and bring them during your first visit.
  • Patients who are minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first visit.

What should I wear to physical therapy?

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

What can I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, your therapist will perform a thorough examination, in which he or she will review your physician’s recommendations, examine the problem area, ask questions about your injury or pain, develop an effective treatment plan for rehabilitation, discuss their findings with you and answer any questions you may have. Your treatment plan may include hands-on, manual therapy, a customized exercise program, stretching and physical agents such as heat, ice, ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Your physical therapist may also recommend a home program to further assist in your treatment.

How long will my appointment take?

Your first appointment will typically last from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on your injury. Following appointments usually last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the treatment. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your appointment for check-in and paperwork. You can also download our patient forms, which can be filled out beforehand and brought with to your appointment.

How often will I need to come?

The frequency of your treatment will depend on your physician’s prescription and the plan of care developed by your physical therapist. Most patients require treatment two to three times per week. The duration of treatment will depend on your injury and personal progress. Your physical therapist will discuss this with you following your initial exam and subsequently as you progress.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

If you are unable to attend an appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. However, we do understand than an occasional emergency or illness may arise, in which case you may have to cancel your appointment closer to your scheduled time.

Do you accept insurances? Will insurance cover my therapy?

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. Before your initial visit, we will verify in and out of network benefits with your insurance company. The cost of therapy is determined by the benefits of your insurance plan, including the deductible and co-pay, or patient percentage. We are happy to check with your insurance company to determine the terms of your coverage. Payment for patient responsibility is due at the time of service.

Do you offer complimentary consultations?

We are proud to offer complimentary injury screenings with one of our certified licensed specialists who will discuss your area of discomfort and offer suggestions for next steps in care, if appropriate. For your convenience, consultations will last no longer than 15 minutes and are available over the phone or in person. To request a complimentary screening, after entering your ZIP code in the location look up, simply select 'Free Consultation' and proceed to fill out your information.
