We've got some big news out of San Diego.
We've acquired SpineZone, a San Diego-based physical therapy group with six clinics across San Diego County. The move pushes our California footprint to 60 clinics and brings SpineZone's clinical team into one of the most recognized rehabilitation networks in the state.
All six SpineZone locations will now operate under the Spine & Sport name.
SpineZone has spent nearly two decades building a reputation patients trust, with a patient-centered approach and the kind of outcomes that earn a real standing in the communities they serve. Joining Spine & Sport and the broader PRN network means their patients now have access to leading care across the entire state, not just San Diego. And Spinezone's clinicians gain access to PRN's outcomes-focused clinical development programs and treatment tools, which is a genuine advantage for anyone who wants to practice at the top of their license.
For us, this one hits close to home.
"A year ago, we were exactly where the SpineZone team is today," said Brett Raasch, Executive Vice President of Spine & Sport and former CEO. "Selling something you've spent years building is a big moment, and I won't pretend it isn't. But with a year of perspective, I can tell the SpineZone team this - what's ahead of you is genuinely exciting. PRN has been the kind of partner you hope for. They've invested in our people, strengthened our clinical programs, and helped Spine & Sport grow into the network it is today across California. That scale matters, because it means more patients in more communities can get access to care that actually changes how they move through their day. I'm excited for Dr. Raiszadeh and his team. And I'm even more excited about what this opens up for patients across the region."
"When we started SpineZone, the goal was simple: help people avoid unnecessary surgery and get back to living their lives," said Dr. Kamshad Raiszadeh, Founder, Spinezone. "Nearly 20 years later, I'm incredibly proud of the tens of thousands of patients we've served, the outcomes we've achieved, and the remarkable team and culture we built along the way. Our SpineZone locations will now carry the Spine & Sport name, just as Spine & Sport transitioned under the PRN umbrella. But the people, the care, and the commitment that define what we built remain. Being part of the PRN network means our patients and staff will now have access to even greater resources and support. That is exactly what our mission has always been about: delivering the best possible care. I want to sincerely thank everyone who believed in us from the very beginning - our patients, our team members, our partners, and the communities we've been honored to serve. I have every confidence that the values we've instilled and the culture we've built will continue to bear fruit within this new chapter."
To the SpineZone patients and team reading this: welcome. We're glad you're here.
